VASASTAN – GÄSTRIKEGATAN

The goal of this project in Vasastan was to modernize the apartment while still preserving its historical features, specifically the existing floor and fireplace in the bedroom. This was accomplished through a simple and practical Scandinavian design aesthetic, utilizing a lot of white, warm tones, and wood. The fireplace in the bedroom was kept intact and can still be used for heat if needed. The living room features oak flooring and warm-coloured Bolia furniture that create a cosy and fresh atmosphere. The kitchen is finished in dark navy blue by Balingslöv, which harmonizes well with the rest of the apartment, as the blue and warm tones complement each other. Overall, the apartment has an open and minimalist design, with only the necessary elements on display.
